The 11th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition - the only event in the field of education in Azerbaijan, organised with the official support and active participation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan - starts on the 6-8 October 2017 in Baku Expo Center. “Human capital is our greatest assets”, is the slogan of the exhibition.
This year the Education exhibition will be attended by 144 institutions from 24 different countries. The exposition will be comprised of more than 90 faculties. The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan will present its most recent projects and will inform about the current educational opportunities for prospective students. The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which annually takes part in the exhibition, will be presenting with the following projects: (i.e. “SABAH Groups”, “Teach For Azerbaijan”, “Bir” Student-Volunteer Programme, “Maarifchi” Student Loan Foundation, “Sound Education – Healthy Nation”, “A Friend of Schoolchildren”, “Modular Schools”, “Training Centre for Education Olympiads”, “Information and Communication Technology in Education”, “Preparation to Schools”, “Library”, The Republican Sports Centre “Tehsil”, The Traditional Art Centre “Icheri Sheher”, The State Agency for Occupational Education and The Children and Youth Development Centre) to the exhibition visitors.
This year’s joint stand organised by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan includes Baku State University, Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ), Azerbaijan State Economic University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Baku Engineering University, Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University, Azerbaijan University of Technology, Azerbaijan University of Languages. Moreover, the Ministry will provide a lecture room where, along with lectures and presentations, local start-ups will be showcasing their interesting projects. Many prize winners of both national and international competitions, along with winners of various contests will be presenting their skills at the stage which will also welcome the performers of national dances.
Among the participants are National Aviation Academy and the debutant of the exhibition - Western University (Azerbaijan). Thus, 17 universities of Azerbaijan will take part in the exhibition. The general sponsor of the event is Kapital Bank that supports the organisation of the country-wide school-subject Olympiads and helps with the implementation of the “Teach for Azerbaijan” programme.
In the frame of “study abroad” sector Latvia, Hungary, Russia, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Ukraine, USA and other countries will present their universities, colleges, schools, education centres and training programmes. The national stands of Poland (“Study in Poland: Ready, Study, Go!”) and Lithuania (“Study in Lithuania”) will provide information on opportunities for the education of Azerbaijani students. Another local participant, CELT Colleges, will be offering its programmes of study abroad. The pre-school education will be represented by the International Sabis Sun School. The exhibition will also feature "Build Your Future," a youth support project carried out within the CSR policy of several local and international companies that aims at sustainable development of Azerbaijani youth through access to higher education and social integration.
The Caspian Events Organisers’ partner of kids zone Aqil and Bilgi will present the “Kids University” on their own stand. Kids University hosted by Edutainment.az will be doing the DIY (Do It Yourself) zone where kids will be able to do the STEAM activities, code with Microbits and discover lots of the amazing things about science. All the activities are based on the idea to be easily repeated at home and to make sure they motivate kids to learn and increase their curiosity.
In general, within the framework of the exhibition, visitors will be presented with bachelors, masters and postgraduate programs, foreign language courses, internships and training sessions. At the exhibition, visitors will have the chance to personally interact with representatives from the leading universities and ask them questions about how to start the application process, how best to prepare for it, what are the deadlines for filing documents, how much the courses cost, how to arrange accommodation, find out the university’s ratings and specialties and much more.
It is an ongoing task to provide and maintain educational institutions with new and technologically advanced equipment. In this context, the exhibition creates an excellent opportunity to get acquainted and establish contacts with suppliers and manufacturers of such equipment. So, the Modern Equipment and Multimedia Systems for Educational Institutions Sector will welcome “Lucas-Nuelle GmbH”, NTP Centre (Belarus) and LAIN SRL (Italy) which will be showcasing their laboratory equipment, and various software for educational institutions.
This year an extensive business programme has been scheduled for the Education exhibition, which will feature B2B meetings between local education institutions and participating foreign universities.
The business programme will also include workshops under the themes of “My future profession and the path leading to it”; “Sound Education (SE) methodology in private schools and universities”; “EBRU for Sound Education (SE) teachers”; “Visa preparations for education in the EU countries”; and “Specific features of the EU Visa Code”. The 11th Azerbaijan International Career Exhibition - a unique specialized platform that provides the possibility of direct employment - will be held from the 6th to the 8th of October at Baku Expo Center. The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
This year’s participants of the Career exhibition, including Azercell, Azersun, Gilan Holding, and for the first time Veyseloghlu Group will be offering various internship opportunities and vacancies to the visitors of the event.
