The 13th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition, EduExpo 2019, organized by Caspian Event Organisers (CEO), completed its work on October 12 at the Baku Expo Centre. The exhibition was held with official support and active participation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the EduExpo 2019 exhibition, Minister of Education Jeyhun Bayramov noted that interest in the exhibition is growing from year to year. The educational institutions, educational institutions, companies and organisations presented this year are clear proof of this.
The main achievement of EduExpo 2019 is related to the growing international interest in the Education exhibition in Azerbaijan and the importance of strengthening ties between countries in the field of education. This is proved by the debut participation of the European Union in a large united stand, the presence of a representative Turkish delegation led by the Minister of Education of Turkey, and the participation of large regional groups. A total of 152 educational institutions from 22 countries took part in the event. Moreover, 45% of the total number of exhibitors were newcomers. Many of the projects on display from newcomers and veterans gave a good idea about the development of the domestic education system against the background of the presentation of world latest achievements in this field.
44 educational institutions of Azerbaijan are represented at Eduexpo 2019. The Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (KOBIA) took part in the EduExpo 2019 exhibition with its own stand. Of great interest was the united multinational stand of the European Union, where embassies and universities of many European countries were present. Traditionally, the national stand of Turkey, the regional groups of Russia, the Marie Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and other educational institutions were of great interest for the exhibition visitors.
A lot of young people, high school students and potential applicants who visited the exhibition carefully studied rich information in the sectors of vocational and secondary special education, Master's programmes, MBA, programmes for studying abroad and student exchange. And of course, there was a high popularity of new information technologies in the field of education, equipment in the education sector, and blitz testing of knowledge. A programme of additional events was timed to coincide with the exhibition, some of which took place in the Presentation Zone. EduTalks discussion panel “Achievements and main goals in the modern education system” gathered its participants from among schoolchildren and teachers, in which experts shared their views on modern education in a “live” dialogue with the audience.
Thus, being an important educational hub, EduExpo allowed in a short time to get acquainted with the latest innovations in the field of education, open new ways for partnerships, expand the horizons of cooperation and meet with thousands of target audiences - applicants, their parents, and industry experts.
Exhibitions are supported by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), the Small and Medium Businesses Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Confederation of Organisations of Entrepreneurs’ (Employers’) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
